BACKGROUND
In late 2010, after eight years in the media industry, Katrina Witham launched The PR Gals, a network for leading freelance publicist.
It was her desire to establish a brand that became a symbol of quality public relations that her fellow peers could partner with in order to have their outstanding skills, service provision and achievements recognised. It was also her desire to build a network that accredited members could partner with in order to provide a more comprehensive, strategic, and affordable service to their clients.
In establishing The PR Gals, it was Katrina's aim to:
- Create a brand for accredited PR Gals to use that is a symbol of excellence in the public relations industry.
- Provide a support network for PR Gals across Australia and globally so they could brainstorm, talk shop, network, share contacts, ideas and workload (when required) and ultimately form great friendships with each other.
- Provide an online shop front for approved PR Gals that provides them a professional but visually stunning platform - a place to market themselves and showcase their clients and achievements.
- To share administration costs and resources so that PR Gals could provide a more affordable and quality service to clients.
