BIO

Without doubt, writing has always been Stefanie’s greatest passion, so when it came to choosing a career path, studying a combined PR and Journalism degree made complete sense.

Determined to have exceptional job prospects upon the completion of her studies, Stefanie threw herself into work experience and in this process secured a position within the marketing department of one of Melbourne’s most acclaimed shopping centres, Chadstone. It was here she learnt the skill of applying ones creativity in order to achieve increased value for a brand.

Upon two weeks of completing  her joint PR/Journalism degree from Melbourne’s Deakin University in 2006, she gained a full-time role at major fashion company, Figgins; the name behind Australian footwear retail brands; Shoobiz, Mollini, Midas, Florsheim, Evelyn Miles and Scooter. After only six months, Stefanie was promoted to National PR Coordinator, a role that saw her manage all elements of PR for each brand, including media showings for seasonal collections, product placement, fashion week activities, and designer collaborations.

Unfortunately, her time was cut short at Figgins following the global financial crisis, which forced the company into liquidation. Immediately after, she worked with a PR agency before joining a creative agency where she managed the bookings for esteemed hair and make-up artists, photographers, and stylists. While the role was a challenge and increased Stefanie’s industry contacts and fine-tuned her delegation and project management skills, it did nothing to quench her thirst for writing. As a result, she made the decision to embark on further studies and enrolled in a master of communication - majoring in professional writing.

During her studies, Stefanie became a freelance fashion writer and contributed to a number of leading Australian and USA fashion blogs including, Australian Fashion Guide, Minx Society, and Breakfast With Audrey.

It was during this period that she also undertook freelance PR work for various agencies and clients. It did not take long for her to realise demand for her personal skills so Stefanie made the big decision to establish her very own business, Stylewrite Copy and PR.

Stylewrite provides a holistic brand management services to clients, specialising in copy writing and public relations services. Clients are in the lifestyle, fashion, and beauty sector, ranging from small businesses to major national brands.

In late 2011, after being recognised by PR Gals director Katrina as a quality freelance publicist, Stylewrite was invited to become an accredited member of The PR Gals network.

Attracted to the collaboration opportunities and ability to provide clients an even higher level of service through the combined experience, support systems, and national networks of the PR Gals, Stefanie is looking forward to building Stylewrite into a truly successful business venture and ensuring this success has flow on benefits that can be shared with her clients.
